Built about 1810, this house is still the heart and soul of the property. It features wide pine plank floors, hand hewn beams, and expansive windows that offer a wonderful view of the ever-changing Bay and fields. We have reflected the traditional style and scale of the building in everything else that we have built, wanting the Old House to always remain the center point of the property. This house has been rebuilt and renovated from top to bottom, enhancing
its original character to meet the demands of current times. The main
floor is open and bright with separate working kitchen, dining and sitting
areas. The upper floor is again open and offers another sitting area with
TV/VCR and queen size bed. The living area sofa folds down for a second
bed, thus creating sleeping in this house for four people. Alternatively,
a futon mattress can be put upstairs, tucked under the sloping roof line,
ideal for kids. Photos
